2.0 Liter High Band Crate
A low-depth beverage crate for eight (8), loose pack, 2.0 L non-returnable straight wall PET bottles.
Designed and engineered in the late ‘80s, millions of Rehrig Pacific low depth crates are still in service today. Conceived as the replacement for disposable one-way corrugated boxes and full-depth plastic crates, the original Castle Crate® blazed the trail for all other truly reusable and sustainable transport packaging that followed.
Today, reusable plastic crates are still the better sustainable alternative to one-way corrugated trays and shrink film packaging as repeatedly shown in life-cycle analysis by various institutions. See Building the Business Case for Reusable Transport Packaging.
The Rehrig Pacific High Band Crate is a highly nestable transportation and display crate. High Band crates palletize and stack securely using the same automated equipment as Castle Crate shells, but offer a lower packaging cost per trip, labor and storage space savings and an improved Sustainability Scorecard.
With Rehrig Pacific’s patented Twist ‘N Slide® bottom, crates and bottle caps easily locate and engage. Unit load layers can be alternated, inter-locking the crates and allowing stacking up to three pallets high. A simple twist, rotating the crate a few degrees, allows it to slide nearly effortlessly over the bottle caps for unloading.
Route drivers will have to lift less weight and at a lower height to return the same number of empty crates. Higher driver satisfaction means more empty crates are picked-up and returned.
