Oh Canada! Insights from Across the Border

This session will look at recycling programs and technologies to the North, from major cities across Canada. Hear from the city of Toronto on the implementation of a new second generation organic cart from Rehrig Pacific Company, from design to implementation to consumer satisfaction and results. Also, find out the outcome of the implementation of green bin programs and every-other-week (EOW) garbage collection in more than 50 municipalities across Canada, and the effects it had on diversion rates, trash tonnage, and community engagement.
