1. Introduction and Scope

Rehrig Pacific Company (“Rehrig,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through www.rehrigpacific.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. For California residents, this Privacy Policy also serves as our notice at collection.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to other Rehrig websites, applications, or services that post or link to their own privacy policies, or to third-party websites linked from the Site, whose privacy practices we do not control.

This Privacy Policy also does not apply to personal information about Rehrig employees and contractors, which is addressed in a separate internal notice, or about job applicants. If you apply for a position with Rehrig, you will be directed to a third-party recruiting platform, and the information you submit there is governed by a separate applicant privacy notice made available on that platform.

Our Cookie Policy at www.rehrigpacific.com/cookie-policy supplements this Privacy Policy and describes the cookies and similar technologies we use and how to manage them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, described in Sections 5, 6, and 11 below.

We collect personal information directly from you (for example, when you submit a contact form, request literature or a quote, or email or otherwise contact us); automatically when you use the Site, through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy); and from third parties, including business-information providers that help us identify the companies visiting the Site and verify or complete business contact information, our advertising and analytics partners, and business partners or affiliates.

Sale and sharing. We “share” online identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location with advertising partners that collect this information from the Site through cookies and pixels to deliver and measure advertising, including on other websites and platforms. We also make personal information available to a business-information provider in ways that may be considered a “sale”: its technology on the Site collects online identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location to identify the businesses that visit the Site; and, when we send it business contact information (which may include contact information you submit through Site forms) so that it can verify and update our records, it may add the information it verifies to its own commercial database. Under California law and similar state laws, these activities may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or processing for “targeted advertising.” We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. You can opt out at any time, as described in Section 6.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

4. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including analytics tools that record how visitors interact with Site pages (session recordings and heatmaps) and embedded video players, to operate the Site, analyze traffic and usability, deliver and measure advertising, and identify the businesses that visit the Site.

How we ask for your choices depends on where you are. In the United States, non-essential cookies are enabled by default, and you can opt out at any time. In certain other locations, including the European Economic Area and the Province of Quebec, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of every page of the Site.

Our Cookie Policy at www.rehrigpacific.com/cookie-policy describes the categories of cookies we use, the specific providers involved, and how to manage your preferences.

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to the scope of and exceptions in applicable law:

6. How to Exercise Your Rights

Opting out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. Click the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of any page of the Site, which opens our cookie preference center, and switch off Marketing cookies. Because this opt-out is stored in your browser, you will need to opt out on each browser and device you use, and again if you clear your cookies.

Opting out of the sale of contact information. Some of the sales described in Section 2 do not involve cookies, so switching off Marketing cookies does not by itself stop them. To opt out of the sale of your contact information and other personal information not collected through cookies, email privacy@rehrig.com with “DO NOT SELL OR SHARE” in the subject line, or use the opt-out form available through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. We do not require you to verify your identity to opt out, although we may ask for information needed to locate your records, such as your email address. We will act on opt-out requests within 15 business days.

Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal, and the Site will display a confirmation that your opt-out preference signal has been honored.

Other requests. To submit a request to know/access, delete, correct, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, you or your authorized agent may contact us by:

  • Email: privacy@rehrig.com, with “PRIVACY POLICY REQUEST” in the subject line; or
  • Mail: Rehrig Pacific Company, Attn: Privacy, 4010 East 26th Street, Los Angeles, California 90058.
  • Toll-free telephone: 1-800-421-6244

Please include your name, email address, state of residence, and a description of your request. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days.

Verification and authorized agents. We will need to verify your identity before completing most requests, which may require you to provide information so that we can match it to information we maintain about you. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of the agent’s authority and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

Timing. We will respond to your request within 45 days of receipt. If needed, we may extend this period by an additional 45 days, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it.

Appeals. If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing privacy@rehrig.com with “PRIVACY REQUEST APPEAL” in the subject line within 15 days of our decision. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days, which we may extend by an additional 60 days where permitted by law. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Attorney General of your state to submit a complaint.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@rehrig.com so that we can delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to perform services, respond to your requests, and maintain and secure the Site, and as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In deciding how long to keep information, we consider the nature of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, and our legal and business requirements. In particular:

  • Contact form, literature, and quote request submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your request and to maintain our business relationship with you, and then deleted or de-identified in accordance with our records retention practices.
  • Online identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location collected through cookies and similar technologies are retained for the periods described in our Cookie Policy.

9. How We Protect Personal Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including encryption of stored data and encryption in transit (TLS) for information submitted through Site forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Non-Discrimination

We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, provide you a different level or quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price, rate, level, or quality of goods or services because you exercised any of the rights described in this Privacy Policy, except as permitted by applicable law.

11. Additional Disclosures for Certain States
